A Meditation after Holy Mass
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
I kneel down in prayer,
After receiving Holy Communion,
And I close my eyes and fold my hands;
In my mind’s eye, I see Baby Jesus,
Lying peacefully on the manger of my tongue.
Then, I feel the warm gentle hands of
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal,
And they are clasped around my own;
She is facing me and kneeling in prayer,
With her compassionate eyes
Fixed on the Babe of Divine Mercy
Who is rests benevolently within me.
Then, I sincerely present all
My special intentions to her,
And she prays for each of them
With great love and holy fervor.
I feel St. Joseph’s strong hand
Rest firmly and kindly on my shoulder,
And he humbly and silently prays,
In one accord with the Mystical Rose.
