O sweet Lady of Sorrows,
I offer you the myrrh of my bitter suffering:
Please place my little offering at the foot
Of the holy cross, that Our Blessed Lord’s
Precious blood may trickle down upon it,
Triumphantly transfiguring it
Into something very, very good,
Into something very, very true,
Into something very, very beautiful.
