An Allegorical Meditation on the Spiritual Battle in the Dark Night
The great saints are the holy knights of Heaven,
And when we ask them to pray for us,
They faithfully and courageously respond.
And so, I invite eleven glorious saints,
Along with my trustworthy guardian angel,
To wholeheartedly pray with me and for me.
These saints intercede for all my intentions,
And grasping their swords, the swords of the Spirit,
They confidently brandish them high in the air.
Their swords, powered by the Light of the Word,
Shine and glow more brilliantly than white lightning,
As they pierce and wound the deep dark night.
I am not alone, and so I must fight bravely,
With great trust in the Divine Mercy,
And He will give me all I need to triumph.
